Privacy policy
For the B-Simple Android app, published by Kivé Refresh Ltd.
Last updated 13 August 2026
The short version: B-Simple collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no servers. There is no account, no sign-up, and no way for us to identify you.
What stays on your phone
Everything. The sites you block, the reasons you write for blocking them, your keywords, any lists you import, the wait you choose, and the commitment statement you write during setup are all stored only in the app's private storage on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone else without access to your unlocked phone.
How the blocking works
B-Simple runs a local VPN on your device. This is how Android allows an app to filter DNS - the lookups that turn a website name into an address. The VPN goes only to your own phone; it does not route your traffic through any server of ours, because we do not have one.
When you visit a site, your phone asks a DNS server for its address. B-Simple checks that name against your blocklists on your device. If it is blocked, the app answers "not found" locally and the lookup never leaves your phone. If it is not blocked, the lookup is passed to the same DNS servers your phone would have used anyway - usually your network's or your mobile provider's. B-Simple does not introduce a new party to your browsing, and does not log, store, or transmit the names you look up.
Safe search
If you turn on safe search, B-Simple answers lookups for Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo with the address of each provider's own filtered service. The filtering is done by those companies, under their own privacy policies. B-Simple cannot see what you search for; DNS carries only the site name.
Payment
The optional one-off purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your name, email, or payment details. Google is the merchant of record. Your purchase is recorded against your Google account, which is how it is restored if you reinstall or change phone.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
There are none. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no crash reporting. This is a deliberate design decision, not an omission.
Children
B-Simple is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Backups
Automatic cloud backup is disabled, so the app's data is not copied to Google Drive.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. There is nothing held elsewhere to delete, and uninstalling is never obstructed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes here and into the app listing.
